(New York, Oct.28th, 2010) ― Greg Bennett, former Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing for CBS Television’s syndication unit, announced today the creation of a new agency — ICONOCLAST Brand Marketing & Entertainment — which will follow a unique business model not found in the traditional ad agency world.
“We’re taking the studio model — the concept used by motion picture and television executives — and applying it to the world of marketing integration” said Bennett, who will serve as President and CEO. “This enables us to utilize a core group of marketers from various key disciplines ― all working TOGETHER to provide clients their best UNIFIED thinking with NO turf protection. The result is a huge end benefit for developing and producing major projects effectively and efficiently.”
“We will risk seeing things differently” noted marketing veteran Mark Miranda, ICONOCLAST’s chief strategist for retailing ― who has spent 25+ years working for Fortune 500 companies in tying retailing into the marketing mix. “It also gives credence to our umbrella mantra “Do What You Imagine.” In other words, we’re not just paying lip service to making ideas into integrated realities, whether they’re in music, film, television, events, concerts, digital, etc. — we KNOW how to do it across all marketing channels.
“Most important to our mission, said Bennett, “we want to assist/work with clients who have a sense of urgency — who have a need for fast action, who have a need to turn their business quickly around. ICONOCLAST knows how to make that happen . . . we can hit the ground running.”
Key to the new entities model are four cornerstone “touch points” for success. (1) Precision in marketing; (2) Relevance in marketing; (3) Power for consumers; and, (4) Reciprocity for consumers — meaning knowing how to provide value in all interactions.
“Our collective thinking will offer clients full-circle integration,” related Bennett, who — prior to his executive stint at CBS was President and CEO of his own highly successful advertising and promotional agency Luna Bacardi Group. “Most agencies today have NO idea how to close the loop between marketing and sales — that key component — sales — will be one of our most important tools.”
Other partner executives in ICONOCLAST include Jeff Koz, who will head Music and Entertainment Development; and Stefani Ferra, who will serve as Senior Managing Director of Client Services.
ICONOCLAST will have offices in New York, Los Angeles, Palm Beach and Hong Kong.
“Our collective experience runs the gamut of consumer products — some of the most famous companies and brands in the world,” said Bennett. “Our team members have worked for such icons as Pepsi, P&G, McDonalds, Mastercard, Pizza Hut, Sears, Land O Lakes — and a host of others.
“What we’re saying to brands and companies out there is . . . don’t be afraid to let your imagination guide your thinking. ICONOCLAST can help you Do What You Imagine.”
Bennett was founder and CEO of Luna Bacardi Group in 1990 . LBG became one of the ten largest promotion marketing agencies in the world by the time it was sold to True North for $57M in 2000. O! Branded Marketing was founded in 2003 by Bennett which became a pioneer in the branded entertainment space . In 2007, CBS acquired O! Entertainment.
